(S)-Symbolism
            -Identify places it has been in the novel.
            -Identify an abstract concept it could be connected with.
            -Explain the connection, and how you came to understand it.


(I)-Imagery
            -Identify 2 direct quotations and cite them with page numbers.
            -Explain how that quotation appeals to the senses, and which senses it appeals to.


(F)-Figurative Language

            -Hyperbole

            -Understatement

            -Irony

                                    -Dramatic

                                    -Situational

                                    -Verbal

            -Sarcasm

            -Pun

            -Metaphor

            -Personification

            -Simile

            -Paradox

            -Oxymoron
           
            -Alliteration

            -Allusion



(T)-Theme

            -Identify the phrase which is the theme (not from Sparknotes).
            -Identify the place or places it is shown in the chapter.
            -Explain the connection.

(T) Tone
            -Identify the subject
            -Provide 2 direct quotations to support your thesis.
            -Explain how those quotations support this.


IMPORTANT:
1.     Each group member is responsible for one letter of the SIFTT.  When you create your poster, you must put the person’s name by the letter of the SIFTT they completed!
2.     You must explain on your poster what you meant by it.
3.  Using Sparknotes is plagiarism, and you will get a zero.
